LANJUTAN dr Atas!!!

11:03
Who are the likely suspects behind these attacks?

Two suspected terrorists named by Belgian police as accomplices to November’s Paris attacks are likely to be the focus of investigations as to who was responsible for the triple blasts at Brussel’s airports and metros.

Najim Laachraoui and Mohamed Abrini are still on the run following police raids that led to the capture of Salah Abdeslam, the lead Paris attacker, in Brussels on Friday.

LIVE Breaking News,Bom Brussel airport

One theory is that they may have launched Tuesday's attacks in Brussels on the assumption that police interrogation of Abdeslam would have given police leads as to their own whereabouts.

11:19
Isil network also 'planning attacks in Germany'

Salah Abdeslam, the suspected Isil terrorist arrested in Brussels on Friday, was planning attacks in Germany, reports Justin Huggler in Berlin.

Abdeslam was part of an Isil network set up “explicitly” to carry out attacks on countries including Germany, an unnamed security source told Tagesspiegel newspaper.

The network had around 30 members, and was divided into three separate cells, according to the report, which was published before Tuesday’s attacks in Brussels.

Many members of the first cell were killed in a US air strike on Raqqa in Syria, while the second carried out last November’s Paris attacks.

A third cell was still at large. It is not clear whether this cell may be behind the Brussels attacks.

Abdeslam visited three men posing as Syrian refugees in Germany last October, before the Paris attacks, according to a report by Germany’s SWR radio.

The three were staying at a refugee shelter in Ulm, in southern Germany. After Abdeslam’s visit they disappeared.

Trump: France and Belgium are 'literally disintegrating'

Donald Trump has weighed in on the Brussels attacks, saying European countries such as France and Belgium are "literally disintegrating" and predicting "many more" attacks.

"In my opinion this is just the beginning, it's going to get worse and worse," he told Fox News.

He reiterated his pledge to shut down America's border to Muslims "until we figure out what is going on".

"There's something going on. They're not assimilating into society, and there's something different," he said. "It's not our fault, it's their fault," he added, referring to Muslims.

Mr Trump placed some of the blame for the attacks on "no-go zones" in France and Belgium where, he said, police are afraid to enter.

13:53
Clinton: US must stand with European allies

Hillary Clinton has called the atacks "deeply distressing", and said the US must stand with its European allies, "as they have stood with us on so many occasions", reports David Lawler.

She said the US should tighten security in light of this "sophisticated attack".

John Kirby, spokesman for the US state department, has offered condolences on behalf of the United States and said efforts are underway to determine whether US citizens had been wounded or killed.

Brussels police have told Sputnik that Zaventem’s great hall was targeted in the blast, but they couldn’t confirm the number of the victims in the attack.

“There was an explosion, but we cannot say more," a police spokesperson said.

Reports also suggest that first there was a shot fired in the departure hall, then something was called out in Arabic, and only afterward, two explosions rocked the facility.

Reports are coming in that one of the explosions took place near the American Airlines check-in desk. A government source confirmed to VRT broadcaster that it was an attack, while Anke Fransen, spokeswoman for Brussels Airport, said there were multiple injuries. "We can confirm that there have been two explosions in the departure hall. We called the emergency services on the ground – they [are] now provid[ing] first aid to the injured."

Niels Caignau, flight watcher at Swissport, told Radio 1 that he heard an explosion at around 8:00 a.m. local time.
